L0609SW.LONDONBELLARM.M    Excellent, extremely rare bellarmine shape c1680 of English manufacture, Vauxhall or Fulham probably, two tone classic Fulham glaze style buff grey body with brown wash down 3/5 of body then finely speckled dark brown saltglaze. small foot, wire cut with good spool marks, bulbous body positioned lowsloping up to tapering straight sided neck into finely double cordoned lip. Well modelled handle with strengthening centre rib attached to neck and shoulder with short tail. Air holes punched to top and bottom of handle. Very small split to very top of lip and slight distortion of mouth, but very minor. Touch marks to either side of body, many and numerous fingerprints and crudities etc. Excellent condition other than specified, and very very rare English manufacture. handle is only aspect that isnt classicly arched in the Dwight manner, most likely scenario is a German potter working in England. 8 1/4

Superb condition example of these rare and intriguing early mustard jars.  6

O0211.MIDGRFLATOCT.M   Interesting and very attractive rare colour variation mid green flattened octagonal utility/medicine c1790+,full original surface gloss, highly whittled, and very nicely bubbled which shows though the lighter colour excellently. near flat base with rough sandpontil, straight sides, rounded offcentre shoulders into short narrow neck going through delicate flattn collarstringrim immediately below sheared off refired lip. Ultra feint star to shoulder. 6 1/4

N0321SW.MERCURY.M    Excellent balustr form early brown saltglazed stoneware mercury jar with shoulder rill mark, two tone dark brown upper and midbrown to buff lower body, Interesting glazed over blow hole to shoulder surface, nice blbos form with out-turning foot, and small neck with tight rounded lip. Excellent condition, some tiny, tinynibbles to base edge difficult to see except close inspection. and pleasing almost metallic shouder colour glazing. c1800 or possibly earlier. 5 1/8
