L1130.ASSOCENGONION.M  Ultra rare and highly desirable English onion c1707 recovered from the famed wreck Association (foundered in 1707 off the Isles of Scilly) by Roland Morris himself, and then displayed in his famous shipwreck museum in Penzance. This is the actual item, pictured recovered in several books. vitrified with some surface loss as would be expected but all now stabilised and conserved professionally. The Association ranks as one of the world's most famous and nostalgicly popular wrecks, and bottles from any shipwrecks are extremely rare and highly sought after. This English example cannot have better provenance than this. Comes with certification. 6 1/4

M0220.HANDLEDHOLSTEIN.R   Superb mindblowing rarity, North German, Holstein, handled onion/decanter c1670, delicate but perfect, olive colour, generally glossy with patches of attractive iridescence, deep kickup with blowpipe pontil. bulbous body with long tapering neck, delicate handle applied to neck joint to just below stringrim, which is rounded coil applied well below sheared off refired crude lip.
